A convenient passenger self-check-in system has been put into operation in the terminals of State Enterprise “Boryspil International Airport” by department of Terminal information systems of IT Department in cooperation with EDAPS Consortium. On the grounds of the best international practice, the new system first of all will dispense passengers travelling without baggage with the necessity of wasting time in queues to check-in desks. 

 Since May 2009 passengers departing from Boryspil International Airport can self- check-in for the flights of airlines which support on-line check-in service at Boryspil Airport on their web-sites. Such possibility is provided by WEB-check-in kiosks, three of which are installed in Terminal B and one is located in Terminal A.

By using WEB-check-in kiosks passengers get the possibility to check-in for their flight and print out the boarding pass without applying check-in desks. Thus the new service provides the possibility of choosing a seat on board of an aircraft and check-in for the flight by saving time and force for waiting in a queue to the  check-in desks.

All kiosks are equipped with comfortable and intuitively obvious guidance system. To perform check-in a passenger shall choose airline that supports WEB-check-in and enter personal data to be identified on the site. The next step is selection the seat on board of the aircraft and confirmation of the check-in. After that a WEB-check-in kiosk will offer to print out the boarding card.

Be advised that passengers with baggage may also use WEB-check-in but later they will turn to normal check-in desk to check-in their baggage. To be more user-friendly, system interface is available in Ukrainian and English.

New airlines can be added into the system in case such airlines support the option of check-in via Internet at Boryspil Airport. For today you can self-check-in and print out the boarding card for the flights of such airlines as Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Ukrainian International Airlines, British Midland, SAS. Moreover, WEB-check-in is possible for flights of Air France, KLM and Turkish Airlines without boarding card print-out (booking of the own seat number on board).
